This is the filter dedicated to ZWO cameras. So it is called “Z Series”. At first, filters will be available for ASI M42 interface cameras (APS-C or smaller sensors except 2600MC).
Since ASI cameras have no IR blocker, this must be the perfect solution to block IR as well as to minimize the image background glow same time.
Specifications
- 1.1mm thickness, so adding a filter makes camera’s flange back 17.14mm +/- 0.5mm
- A filter frame is held by the t-threaded male portion. So the required length is critical. The tolerance for the variation of its length is 3.9mm to 4.3mm. 4.0mm is quite common. So basically you don’t have to worry about that much. Hutech provides a spacer ring with no extra cost if it is a bit too short.
- An extra benefit to users who are looking for 1.25″ sizes. IDAS doesn’t make 1.25″ sizes for above 5 models. (LPS-D1 used to be available. But recently discontinued and sold out). So if someone was looking for 1.25″ sizes in one of above types, this is a good solution.
